    Cadillac has got a new Head of Marketing and he comes from BMW

    Cadillac isn't going after Lincoln or Lexus, it is so much better than that. Cadillac is targeting BMW. The ATS was built to directly compete with the BMW 3-Series. Staying on course, Cadillac has picked up Uwe Ellinghaus, who was formerly a BMW marketing guy. The goal is to change people's perception of Cadillac to be more elite - an elite company that builds great cars.

    Well, getting a BMW marketing head definitely can't hurt Cadillac. Cadillac is moving upmarket and is now competing with BMW and the other German brands. Bringing on some former BMW employees is a great idea. I'm not sure what the actual results of hiring him will be, but I am interested to see what changes he will bring to Cadillac. Any guesses of what new ideas Uwe Elinghaus will be bringing to the table?
