2013 Cadillac ATS Long-Term Test (Gallery)

Our new long-term 2013 Cadillac ATS looks sharp in black.


It's obviously a Cadillac, but it's a little cleaner than anything else in the lineup.


The profile is very similar to that of the CTS: some say too similar.


As are the vertical taillights and spoiler/third brake light.

The ATS even looks dynamic in the most boring neighborhoods.


Fixed brake calipers fit behind fancy shoes.


The Wreath and Crest is displayed prominently throughout.


Our ATS has the optional 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder.

We wanted a dark interior, so we got a dark interior.


Though the chrome trim does brighten things up.


The jury's still out on this graphic.


We're still not sold on the half-circle speedo.

There are a lot of buttons on this wheel. Don't worry; they become clearly marked once the car is on.


Two points from Cadillac for screwing up the orientation of the manual shift mode.


CUE dominates the interior from almost all angles.


Dead center shows the scope of it best.

Apparently apps are the new thing people want in cars.


This is the radio app. We used to call it the radio.


And here's the nav app. It has pinch zoom. Very slow pinch zoom.


Thankfully there are some quick climate buttons

Push-button start is old hat for luxury cars these days.


Convenient placement for the "Traction Control Off" button. We like.


Our ATS also came with this box.


Hmm, that cover looks familiar.

All ATSs with CUE come with an iPad. Probably to show you how touch should work.


Since it's a sedan, the ATS has rear seats.
